Factory Tour at Alden Shoe Company

Nick Horween toured the factory at Alden in February. Plenty of great photos of the factory floor, hefty steel shanks, thick insoles, shining shell cordovan, clicking patterns. It seems that Alden goes for that extra mile by changing downpressed insoles as part of their refurbishment service. A sad side note: none of the workers wear Aldens, so they must be in it for the money.
