Kiitos selventävistä vastauksista!

Tilausvahvistus meilissä on melkoista siansaksaa, mutta sen perusteella, mitä siitä pystyy selvittämään, vaikutta valietttavasti siltä, että olen itse mokannut.

Ulkomaan paketin vaihtoehtona näyttäisi postilla olevan joko tavallinen kirje tai maksikirje, kummasakin maksimipaino on 2 kg. Tavallisen kirjeen maksimipaksuus on 30 mm, mihin en saa neljää paitaa puristettuksi. Hyvällä onnella paitojen paino paketteineen kuitenkin jäänee juuri ja juuri alle 2 kg, jolloin paidat mahtuisit maksikirjeeseen. Sen hinta tosin on edelleen 22 euroa, vain euron edullisempi kuin vastaava 2 kg paketti. Onhan se toisaalta edes hieman vähemmän kuin 29 euroa alle 5 kg paketista, minkä verran aslkuun arvelin joutuvani maksamaan, ja olisi todella lohdullista, jos Tyrwhitt ei veloittaisi vaihtopaitojen lähetyksestä postikuluja.

Vähän OT-kysymys, liittyen enemmänkin meiliohjelmiin, mutta myös Tyrwhittiin:

Käytän meiliohjelmana Mozilla Thunderbirdiä, jossa Tyrwhittiltä tulevat meilit näkyvät alla olevana sotkuna. Saisinkohan ne jotenkin näkymään oikein, säätämällä Thunderbirdia tai kopiomalla tekstin (koodin?) johonkin?

Onko Thunderbirdissä "näytä html:nä" vaihtoehtoa? Käytä sitä.

^ Joo, vaihtoehdot "näytä alkuperäinen html" ja "näytä yksinkertainen html", mutta se näkyy samanmoisena, valitsi kumman hyvänsä. Täytynee vaihtaa toiseen meilitsimeen, TB on ilm. alkanut muutenkin jäädä vähän jälkeen.

Jos kuosit miellyttävät, tee neljän paidan diili jonkin korjausompelimon kanssa käy kavennuttamassa kuntoon?

Tilasin mr. Tyrwhittiltä 4 paitaa tavanomaisella 100 punnan tarjoushinnalla ja lisäksi erikoistarjouksena ilmainen kuljetus. Paidat saapuivat viime viikolla ja totesin, että ne olivatkin Classic Fit, vaikka luulin tilanneeni Slim Fit -paitoja. Virhe voi olla omanikin.

Näillä ei oikein kuitenkaan mitään tee. Muutama kysymys palauttamisesta siis:
1. Avasin pari paitaa, ennen kuin huomasin kokoviheen. En kuitenkaan pitänyt niitä. Voiko ne palauttaa avatuista paketeista huolimatta?
2. Haluasin vaihtaa paidat Slim Fit -malliin. Joudun varmaankin maksamaan uusista kuljetuksen, kun alkuperäinen kuljetustarjous on jo päättynyt?
3. Palautuskulut joutunee maksamaan itse? Mikä lienee edullisin palautustapa? Postin hinnat ainakin vaikuttavat melko arvokkailta, mutta edullisempiakaan tapoja ei taida olla.

Uudet paidat tulisivat siis palautuspostimaksun (29 euroa) ja uuden kuljetusmaksun (n. 13 euroa), yhteensä 42 euron verran kalliiimiksi kuin alunperin oli tarkoitus. (Tähän tekisi mieli laittaa jokin itkevä "hymiö".)

Itselläni ei ainakaan mennyt mitään uutta kuljetusmaksua kun palautin classic fit -paidat CT:lle aikoinaan. Palautuslähetys piti maksaa itse, mutta slimit fit paidat tulivat paluupostissa CT:n kustannuksella.

Itse palautin taannoin lewinille puvun ym. sälää ja ei kyllä maksanut 29 euroa. Yli kahdenkympin kuitenkin.

Tyrwhittillähän on "No quibble quarantee", joten saat palauttaa paidat vaikka likaisina.

Tuli kokeiltua CT:n Country-malliston paitaa. Mukavan paksu kangas, mutta vaatii konepesua villaohjelmassa ja 30 asteessa. Liikaa vaivaa yhdelle paidalle tällainen. Mitoitus on puolijoukkueteltan kokoluokkaa. Lähti takaisin sumuiselle saarelle.

Paidoissa on todellakin toivomisen varaa, joka on sikäli aika ironista, sillä ne ovat CT:n myydyin artikkeli.

^ Itselleni puolestaan CT:n paidat sopivat onneksi paremmin kuin mitkään muut valmispaidat toistaiseksi.

Vähänkään hoikemman kannattanee tosin ostaa vain niitä malleja, joista voi valita joko Slim- tai Extra Slim-mitoituksen. Omaan vartaloon sopii todella hyvin Slim Fit lyhyimmillä hihoilla. Classic-mitoitetut paidat lienee suunnattu hieman enemmän elämästä nauttineille, pyylevämmille lordeille.

Olen tilannut jo kolme "erää" paitoja CT:ltä. Pidän melkoisesti CT:n non-iron toimikkaasta (Twill), joka on samaan aikaan hieman tukevan tuntuinen, mutta laskeutuu kuitenkin kauniisti eikä ole hiostava yllä. Hihojen ja dartsien laskoksien prässit säilyttävät terävyytensä pesusta toiseen, joten paidat ovat edelleen kuin pakasta vedetyn näköisiä. Aina kun ottaa takin päältään, huomaa kuinka lähes aina joku kiinnittää huomiota juuri hihansuun hyvännäköisiin laskoksiin, joita markettipaidoissa ei ole. Se aiheuttaa lievää tyytyväisyyttä.

P.S. Tilasin kesäksi CT:ltä pari pellavapaitaa, joissa ei ollut Slim-mitoitusta valittavissa. Olisi pitänyt lukea mittataulukko tarkemmin: telttojahan ne ovat.
