Brioni made history in 1952 by holding the first ever runway show for men’s clothing in Palazzo Pitti’s Sala Bianca. By this time models did habitually make that terrifying journey down the catwalk, but these shows were only held for women. Tailor Nazareno Fonticoli and entrepreneur Gaetano Savini made history with the help of employee-slash-model Angelo Vittucci, who left the firm in 1963 to found his own emporium in Angelo Roma.<\/p>\n
